Baby-swaddling: toughening or babysitting?

We had heard a lot about each other, but we had not had the opportunity to meet personally with Vytene Menkevičienė until today. As the cold weather set in, the idea was born – why not do a live broadcast about the pool and the children in the cooler season? You know, runny nose, immune system issues, increased morbidity all around… Can I go to the swimming pool? Or maybe even a must?

I can’t hide the fact that I think I knew the answers. But if I say it myself, no one will believe it. They sound very different coming from a professional with experience. Doctor. Vytenė is not just a family doctor. She also writes articles and lectures on children’s health, volunteers for the Prematurity Helpline, and has translated S. Ockwell-Smith’s book “The Calm Sleep Book”.

It was a sincere, enjoyable and informative conversation – about babies and children, fitness and the immune system, the swimming pool and illness. Both from a professional and a mum’s perspective.
